Nugget iOS is not a standalone IPA or app running directly on your iPhone. Because newer iOS versions (iOS 17+) lock down local system file writes, Nugget must run as a desktop client on your PC (Windows, Mac, or Linux) to modify files externally via USB connection using restore protocols.
Instead of jailbreaking or jailbreak-like exploits, Nugget utilizes the sparse restore method to override the MobileGestalt configuration file on your iOS device. This rootless configuration technique changes settings safely without permanent modifications to the system kernel.
While the main Nugget tool runs on your computer, companion tools like Pocket Poster can be installed on your device to configure animated live wallpapers. These work in sync with Nugget's iOS customization ecosystem.
