AirCard-iOS uses the AirTraffic service to replace local graphics caches. It does not jailbreak the device, but it is experimental research software. Back up your data before flashing.

Before You Start

Make sure you have everything ready before installing AirCard-iOS.

An iPhone running iOS 27.0 or newer.
LocalDevVPN configured in loopback mode (10.7.0.1 or 127.0.0.1).
A sideloading method: SideStore, AltStore, TrollStore, or LiveContainer.
Developer Mode enabled under Settings → Privacy & Security.

Installation & Usage

Follow these steps to install AirCard-iOS and apply your first customization.

Download the AirCard-iOS IPA

Get the latest AirCard-iOS.ipa from the GitHub releases, or clone the repo and run ./build-ipa.sh to produce build/AirCard-iOS.ipa.

Sideload the IPA

Install the IPA using SideStore, AltStore, TrollStore, LiveContainer, or Xcode / iOS App Signer.

Run LocalDevVPN in loopback mode

Start LocalDevVPN routing to 10.7.0.1 or 127.0.0.1 so the app can reach internal device services over the local tunnel.

Pair in Developer Mode

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode → Pair with AirCard-iOS. The app advertises over Bonjour and syncs the pairing record into aircard_pairing.plist.

Apply a skin, theme, or wallpaper

Choose a Wallet card skin, a .passthm passcode theme, or a .tendies PosterBoard wallpaper, then tap Apply / Flash to write caches and trigger a NeoSpring respring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about installing and using AirCard-iOS.

Why does the lock screen still show the default keypad?

This usually happens when Bold Text is enabled. Go to Settings → Display & Brightness and turn off Bold Text so iOS uses the graphical caches instead of vector typography.

Do I need a computer every time?

No. Once paired in Developer Mode, AirCard-iOS pairs with itself over Bonjour and LocalDevVPN loopback, so no computer or external connection is needed.

Will this break Apple Pay?

No. Only visual cache files are replaced. The Secure Enclave and card credentials are untouched, so Apple Pay transactions and rewards keep working normally.

Why is my card artwork not showing in Wallet?

Make sure the artwork was flashed for the right card identifier and that Wallet has fully closed before reopening. AirCard-iOS flushes front-face and thumbnail caches automatically.

Can I build it from source?

Yes. You need macOS 14+ with Xcode 16+, XcodeGen (brew install xcodegen), and optionally the Rust toolchain to rebuild rust-core. Then run ./build-ipa.sh.
